You know, I just stopped over here from Alf’s blog, but I wanted to say on having a two year old influence what you think of your singing voice: Sometimes two year olds just enjoy exploring the power of those types of behaviors. He might have gotten a reaction from covering his ears before & decided to try it again, he might have just been experimenting to see if he *could* get you to stop singing…there are all kinds of reasons he might have done it, all kinds. And only one of them is your voice!

Most toddlers and preschoolers will snap right out of it with a “That is NOT polite! When mommy sings, it is your job to sing with her! Or, if you don’t feel like singing, it’s your job to listen!” Or something like that…

Singing is just way to fun to leave to the whim of a two year old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (regardless of whether you have any actual talent!) I can tell you the three year olds in my class have to be stopped from putting their hands over their ears EVERY YEAR! (grin, grin)
