Considering that when I’m logged in to the psychic power network, I check my status in the queue before I go for a poop, and I plan meals as a relay event with Ass Burger Boy, in case I get a call mid cooking (NOTE: I have actually had to SPIT OUT a mouthful of food to answer a call when logged in), and considering that I am working from a laptop and a desktop computer in the same room, I am now considering taking on some more projects using said machines. I’m also considering that I am beginning to sound like a lawyer wannabe.

Project the first involves taking on an additional psychic network line. It involves a process of three evaluation readings, two of which I have already completed. The third will be Saturday. Keeping everything I have two of crossed. Knowing full well it could be painful in some cases.

Project the second is installing CommentLuv on my best blogging buddy’s blogspot blog. It’s a birthday present for her. The rest of you lazy buggers want me to do it for you, it’ll cost you forty bux. That is cheaper than a year’s hosting fees, so there. And you will still have time to get into the CommentLuv contest. Plus, I expect there will be more of these contests in future.

Project the third is updating my rotating image blogroll. This is where I need your input. If I am on your blogroll, I would like to provide a reciprocal link. Or, Lord help me, if you have changed your blog design and would like the new look reflected here, I am willing to do that too. For this project (and the second) you will need to contact me via my handy dandy contact form. That way I can organize a folder and check each off my list as it is done.

I had considered messing with my theme some more, but settled on getting a new feed icon and colour co-ordinating my comments and search box with the fall header. And the rollover of my navigation bar. If you click on the original theme in the footer, it’s practically unrecognizable from how it looks now. So I have been known to do the odd bit of CSS wrangling. The price is forty bux an hour. I do my own for free though. And Angella? She had NO IDEA what I really charge.

Could CSS wrangling be Project the Fourth?

Remember when I was all regular with my Peep of the Week Awards? And how you liked it? Well, I’ll probably do that again when I get my mojo back. However, there is now a contest running, and you can enter to win fabulous prizes, some of which are money, just by commenting on my leetle blog. Here’s a little tidbit I scraped from Andy’s site.

What are my sites visitors requirements?

They must be registered at CommentLuv.com and have their site url registered and verified.
They must also have a profile description entered at CommentLuv.com
They cannot spam.
They do not need to have CommentLuv installed on their own site. It would be nice if they make a post about winning the prize on their site and link back to the site where they won the prize (your blog, not commentluv.com)

That’s it! Just go register your site, create a profile and start commenting. There will be prizes. You can bet I will be commenting on featured sites. I already won $20 on his sneaky little pre-contest test commenting contest. The contest will run for two weeks, so you have multiple opportunities to win.

Update: I already won a 2 gig memory card by commenting on another commentluv site.

Great news for Blogspot bloggers! Yes, I’m looking at you, Lou, and Hyphen Mama, Zoe, Nan, and a whole bunch more, forgive my laziness in not linking to the rest, they are legion. I just know these URLs off by heart, I’ve linked to them that often.

My favourite go-to geek guy, Andy Bailey, has created the code for CommentLuv to work with Blogspot blogs. He has a video tutorial on the download page, and if you follow instructions, you can be up and running with CommentLuv on your blogspot blog in about 13 minutes. If you have a Typepad or Drupal blog, he has goodies for you, too.

What this will mean to you is that you will be able to host a contest with great prizes. You will need to sign up for the contest, but commenters win by leaving a comment on your blog.Your commenters will be selected at random to be winners.

I’ve been wicked excited about this, and just waiting for the tutorial to be ready so I could share the good news.

So, scoot! Check it out. Thanks, Andy, for a spectacular plugin.

Big news! Andy at FiddyP is cooking up a great contest with many exciting prizes. All you need to do is to get the latest version of CommentLuv for your blog, and register at commentluv.com. That’s it!

And when you comment at other sites that have this bee-yoo-ti-ful plugin enabled, sometimes a notice will come up instead of your last post, saying that you have won a prize. The contest hasn’t officially started yet, but get yourself over and register your site, so that every comment you make on a blog with the plugin will count as an entry when the contest is up and running.

Can you tell I’m excited? Get coding, Andy!

  • You may have noticed that I have a new header. Although it isn’t really chilly here yet, I asked Summer to design me one for fall. I like it a lot. I hope you do, too, as I expect it will be shown next fall as well.

  • I have also started the pimping campaign for the Psychic Power Network, where I faithfully log on most days from 11 am to 11 pm Eastern time. I am including an image link at the bottom of each post, along with my Dial-in ID. First time callers get 5 minutes for only 99ยข, but I get paid my regular price for it. I really need to build my client base there so that there is not so much dead air time between callers. So, if you’ve been wanting a reading, but not the full meal deal, this is a little snack-sized tidbit to see if I’m any good or not.

  • I got some new-to-me furniture for the living room, and it was infused with a chemical smell that a week near the windows and a bathing in vinegar and water did not dispel. I paid $40 to have it delivered, but had to write it off. Good thing that the room is huge, because it held at one time two sofas, three loveseats and an easy chair. Now it’s down to the more manageable one sofa, one easy chair and one love seat. Warrior Woman has new furniture now.

  • Ass Burger Boy was moved to actually clean his room. This would be because he saw a mouse cavorting and dropping deadly turds in his room. I counted 6 garbage bags full of unwanted stuff, and he washed every article of clothing he had. Some of them were wool, and they shrunk. Less stuff to put away. Heh. He has a hard time getting rid of stuff. People, I actually saw his floor. It was a special moment, although he preferred to send me pictures of it rather than have me actually go in his room and look at his actual floor. Dillweed. I well remember his sense of entitlement in accessing my room, especially one summer when I was naked in front of a fan. But I musn’t go in his room.

  • I won’t be logging on today because I’m having a meal cooked for me by Warrior Woman. Thanksgiving was supposed to be yesterday, but ABB decided to stay after church for a baptism. He had his own feast at the reception. He should be thankful I let him live. I had already determined I wasn’t going to get all wired up for holidays anymore. Last Christmas, he had dinner with his priest and his family. I only cooked a ham. And mighty glad of it too. He would have been wearing a freaking turkey if I had cooked one.

  • Andy Bailey won the Wordpress MU plugin contest! He will distribute the prize in a contest of his own, so be sure to register your site at CommentLuv dot com. If you are registered, and have your feedburner URL in your header, people can see where you have clicked, and what your latest posts are. Also, your gravatar will show up, if you have an email address that matches your gravatar email.

  • This is the last month to vote for me in the Blogger’s Choice Awards. I don’t know why I want to win this, but I do. They have thrown a wrench in the works by not showing the actual number of votes for the top three, and rotating the top three as well. I have no clue how many votes I have, but you can add yours to the mix. We find out the results at the end of November, and voting is closed at the end of October. Vote. Please. For me.

  • Whew. </pimping>
