If you go and visit Blogger Noob, the first thing you will see is his avatar of a creepy looking baby.

If you can get past that, and you should, you will find a blogger who posts multiple times a day. This is because some of his are paid posts, and he really does want to present content for his visitors. Taking a leaf from his book, I have a post prepared to publish right after this is published. I’m thoughful that way.
His schtick is that he started the blog in October 2007, and shows his income from it on a regular basis. His traffic stats are impressive for such a short time, although I confess that my traffic has grown quite a bit as well since I started in November. But wait. This isn’t about me. Not everything is.
He explains tricks to other newcomers that will increase their traffic, and holds contests to increase the numbers in his feed reader, his comments, and to keep them coming back. It works. Btw, I won one of his contests, and he pays very promptly.
He’s running a contest right now! The prize is an iriver PMC120 20GB portable media thingie. To win this prize, you must right write a review (spelling may count)of his make money blog, and link to the review in the comments section of the contest post.
I understand that lots of photos are important to keep readers interested, but since I’m not a teenage boy, the celebrity women shots don’t bring me back. Yet, I come back, every single day. Sometimes I come to learn something new, because I truly am interested in increasing my traffic. Sometimes I come for the contests, and mostly, I come to see what he has managed to come up with on yet another day.
He places 125 x 125 ads in the sidebar nearest the content, which is where one of mine sits right now. He did that because I won in another contest. Scroll a bit down from the ads and you will find his make money guide, which is really his categories, and contests are a big feature there.
Blogger Noob has asked one of his readers to redesign his site layout, and although I have some skills, I figured that the time required was not going to make sense for the money offerred. Still, I thought it was pretty cool that he offerred the project to his readers. The site is already well laid out in keeping with its purpose, and the only suggestions I would have for him to improve his site are three:
1. Get thee to Andy Bailey’s site and download CommentLuv, a great networking plugin.
2. Make a rotating blogroll. That way, you can restrict the amount of links you display, be they text or image based, and your readers will come back more often to see theirs.
3. Less Paris Hilton, more George Clooney, please.
I come to this site daily, not because I subscribed to his feed for a previous contest, but because I really can’t wait to see what he has come up with this time. Check it out!
And if it really isn’t for you, that’s fine, but please say hi and that witchypoo sent you.
Update: I went to Noob’s site again today (as I said, he posts multiple times per day) and he was sporting an image of George Clooney!
